Angels and Demons post 3

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown is a book about a symbologist (a specialist in what symbols stand for) named Robert Langdon, a professor at Harvard University. Langdon is called to a Swiss research facility to inspect a symbol that was burned onto the chest of a murdered scientist.
Robert Langdon examines Leonardo Vera's body and says that the person behind all of this is in the Illuminati. Langdon explains the history behind Illuminati. While I am reading this I am thinking about who killed Leonardo. It seems that I have come to a conclusion that the mystery person probably framed the Illuminati for the murder. I am not so sure that's the case but it's a theory. Later on in the book Vittoria Verta, Leonardo’s adopted daughter come to investigate and cry over her dead father. Vittoria says that her father and she were working on something that was dangerous called antimatter. Antimatter is a powerful energy source that is unstable and that a single gram contains the energy of a 20-kiloton nuclear bomb. That is the same size as the nuclear bomb that was dropped in Hiroshima, Japan. Vittoria Verta says that they have high security for their labs and that only her father and she can access it. Vittoria Verta said that to enter their lab you need her father’s eye or her eye. I liked how the author used dramatic irony in this chapter. I remember from previous chapters when Leonardo Vera’s body was discovered the description says that Leonardo’s eye was removed completely from his head. This detail lead me to the conclusion that the murder wanted the antimatter and that to access the powerful energy they needed one of the Vera's eyes. This answer isn’t figured out until way later on in the book when Vittoria finds her father’s eyeball on the floor next to the lab where the antimatter was kept.
If you want to know happens next or who did the murder, I will say go get the book for yourself and read it. I won’t spoil a really good book. I say this is a really good book to read if you like mystery books and it’s really interesting too.

  2. I love how you give plenty of detail without giving away to much of the book. I also find how awesome this book actually sounds without even reading the book and how just from this you can feel something pulling at you and saying "oh what will happen to that said person will she die or not." I honestly would give this book a shot and probably enjoy reading this book, but at the same time wonder "would" i actually commit to reading it; but all in all what you gave the people who read this blog is enough to get a good idea of this book and want to go and read it.
